What instruments does it have? ie. Rev counter etc. Look round the rear end and there should be a code indicating the exact date of construction. this code is 3 digits long on pre 1963's and 4 on post '63's

I looked and found: J5D, L8L, L0L + F24F. But which one's the casting code?!

Try looking round the rear end, that's where I found about three on mine.

I have done some digging and found out that the engine probably came from a lorry or truck. I've looked for some casting codes and found three at the rear end! Their probably not all casting codes but here they are: E1A, 1F2 and E1ADKN 4733. I have also found out that the front axle was converted to...

Fordson Major's identity
I have a Fordson Major which is a 4 cylinder diesel model. The instruments look like they are Power/Super Major. I don't think it's a Super Major as there are holes where the headlights would go outside of the radiator grille. According to a website, the engine is an exchange one so I don't have any...
