Hi all i'm about to replace the range change box on my 1956 E1A and just looking for a few pointers, is it as easy as it looks as in steering wheel off dash board off fuel tank off and box out or am I being a little to optimistic? any pointers or advice greatly appreciated

I wasn't sure if it was sure which way the bracket went with the bolt as in the bracket under the dash bracket then the fuel tank?

Hi all been wrestling with my tacho clock bracket for ages now and can't get him to fit does it go below the dash mounting bracket or in between the dash and the fuel tank?

Hi there been toying with the idea of pulling the engine down on my major and changing liners the one thig that's making me hesitant is the horror stories I've heard about the block being rotton is this common? And if so can the block be saved?

Hello I remember reading about the the design of the new major and to save costs the used the e27n front axle so a new major kit should fit

Having it connected helps cool the injectors and the fuel returns to the tank not spilling out hope this helps

I think the engine had a pneumatic governor on it originally as the intake manifold has the vacuum pipes on it still also the linkage is there I heard they give more power and are more controllable could be wrong though

I have a 1953 transmission and backed but a mk2 engine with a mechanical governor has anyone else' seen or have something similar.is this a proper fordson job? Or a farmer conversion!

Hello I am trying to register my fordson major mk 1 on a age plate but the serial number on the plate indicates it was built in 1956 but the gearbox casting indicates 1953 could this affect getting a age related plate because the age cannot be determinted?

Just bought my first diesel major and has a few faults there is a milky residue in the top of the rocker box any ideas what it could be and how to fix also the gear lever twist around about a quater of a turn but can still get all gears again what could be the fault and how to fix it?
