hi guys has any one got a photo, or photoes of how the battery is held down on a super dexta 
as there does.nt seem to be any holes in battery tray to put any tie ..or fasteners to bolt it down tight
any information at all will be greatly accepted

hi yes u need to take off wheel ,brake drum ,shoes undo nuts that hold in half shaft and pull out half shaft , then slacken all nuts holding on the axle and then pull that off .u will then see nut on inside , be sure to drain oil off first out of diff (backend) put together in reverse.renew gasket ,...

hi they are usually stamped on reverse side of shell ,as u will see when u take them out of conrod ,,or cap ends  (stn) or (os)
but make sure crank is deffinitely ok before u just fit shells .its a lot of work .just for the sake of getting it checked out

hi eddie ive found a couple of places ,,one in middlesbrough ,said they would do them ,,but when i took the pieces down they looked at them and said they where to pitted ???? so / spoke to another company in cumbria and was quoted £ 90 ??so...//new badge and handles dont come to that much so i will ...

hi tyrone yes i used red oxide when cleaning down to bare metal but put it on with brush now have it rubbed down ready for grey primer have given wheels a couple coats o primer an re/ rubbed down ready for another couple /make sure its ok for top coat empire enamel blue just as u say ////but at the ...

hi i dont think buyin another top is goin to solve it ,, as ben says all bits are available you have said you checkd most things ????? is the spool valve free an moving when u have adjusted the equipment settins ,make sure its movin freely ..u should be able to push it in an the spring will return i...

hi,,,, have you had the diverter vavle out ????????when cleaning
an put it back together 180 degree,s out just a thought as i know of this
happening before ,you then have no lift an no trailer aux ???

hi john good to know you have got it done ,and hopefully fixed for good did you change the cork gaskets at each end of sump ,,,,,,,,,,, or just use instant gasket on top of old cork ones ,,,,, i have.nt had mine runnin yet since re,newin gaskets .due to been away hope to start her later this week ,,...

john hiya i took my engine out because i did.nt know wether it was seal or cork gasket , wonse i new it was cork gasket ,,u could actually see where it was missin at close inspection, ithought the same as u can i seal it with anythin ,,,then thought do it properly its a lot o work for it to go wrong...

hi again guys as promised just to let you know .the problem was the cork gasket ,, must of been when sump was placed on .it has picked up last piece of cork gasket (about half an inch ) an torn it off,,actually came out when oil drained off , awaiting new gaskets ,will watch more this time round, do...

mark .as u say mine was the same very tight to turn when in place and tightened up (just crank on its own ) hope it has nt,dried out standing and picked up some when started up,?????????? as been stuck to crank that is ,,,but i will let u all know next wk when i get her appart again .. thanks again,...
