Chaps,

I have had this e-mail, the tractor looks like an E27N but I could be wrong. From the information given, can we get any information?

Hi Brian
Your name seems to be all over the sites.
Would you mind forwarding any details re my Fordson Major serial no:- 1151461 4 cylinder petrol. Hydrolic front rams with manual bucket release? No rear PTO ? Lots of "Moore" rear weights.
Any information is much appreciated.

Hello Brian,

According to the serial it is a 1950 tractor.

Front hydraulic rams don't give much clue to me. But it should be a loader or the remains from it.

I remember reading somewhere "Malcolm Moore PTY Australia" or something similar.

My questions:
- description of engine
- where does the hydraulic power come from? Where is the pump and how is the pump driven
-where is the clutch pedal
-what type of gearbox.

Best regards

Emiel

Emiel,

Chris has sent me this:

Hi Brian
Thanks for the confirmation.
Yes Michael Moore stamping on the manual release loader and full set of
(very heavy) rear weights.
I recently purchased, these are the sellers photos:-

Serial number 1151461 / Number stamped on block P226 / Number stamped on
g/box D19P
After a good clean, minor service and paint job, she might come up worth a
lot more?
Cheers CHRIS

Well,

I would not have any problem with it, finding this tractor in my shed tommorow when I wake up.

But to be realistic. The tractor looks quite original to me. Paint would spoil it in my opinion.

Best regards
