Thanks everyone. I got the seal replaced and changed the lube. I also cleaned the 3-point lift filter. Boy was it gummed-up. The seal is not leaking and the 3-point lift is working again. It would barely move before. Now it moves real fast. Surpriseing what a plugged filter will do. Now I have another small problem. I hooked a disk up to it and was pulling it in first gear. Every once in awhile( when it was pulling harder) it would pop out of gear. I did a search and could not find an answer. Is there an adjustment ( on a Fordson Power Major) for this problem. A-Big-Thanks in advance.

A post headed "Slips out of highest gear", and dated October 27 2011, may be of some help to you.

Jackson, you may want to check the ball and socket on the bottom of the shifter handle for excessive wear, it may be contributing to your problem. Pop off the side cover with the shifter forks and look everything over good. It may also be a bad bearing in the transmission causing the problem, let’s hope not!
