A very neat rig. I'll bet the front end can get light in a hurry with a heavy load! 8)

Hi thats quite the crane and a good weight to lift with it and nicely built too :) a friend of mine has a smaller version of this idea . his is a shop crane he built, it can have wheels fitted to use it for precise lifting in the shop on concrete, or for general stuff put it on the 3pt and move things out in the yard.
Regards Robert

She does get a little light with a weight such as the plough. Since this photo was taken I have had a bracket fitted for the tombstone to take four Ford 1000 weights. I haven't tried the crane with a heavy lift yet, but they should help.

Thanks Pascal, Henk and everyone

A small local engineering company made it for me. It lifts half tonne fertiliser and seed bags no problem. I'm wondering how much it would lift if I managed to tether the front of the tractor to the ground. Better not get carried away!
