fordson power major hydraulics

hi i have a fordson power major and the hydraulics do not hold up, they lift up weight but then they just go back down after a minute or so but with weight they go down quicker.
Any information on this would be great

I'd check/replace the piston seal first, if that doesn't fix or improve things, you may have to look further. Replacing the pison seal always fixed the problem
on the Power Major my father owned for 40 years.
