pump drive repair kit

Post by Mjg1705 »

i am going to need to buy a repair kit for the drive shaft from the injector pump to oil pump/timing gear. this includes the bearings and the seal. my only problem is that all repair kits i come across say that they are for simms pneumatic pumps- would this work on my engine with the miniec pump !? does at actually matter as surely it makes no differance as its the bearings/seal sit in the engine block casting and aint nothing to do with the pump !? :scratchhead:

Hi MJG, I used the Agriline injection pump bearing and seal kit for my minimec pump and its fine.

So glad you got your crank problem sorted

All the best
Steve

Bearings were always an RLS-7 at the front and a 6204 at the back, remember the seal must be the full width. When we got Agriline's kit it only had two 6204 bearings and a half thickness seal. They also sell a strange bearing, that approximates itself to an RLS-7 in metric approximations. Stay well clear from it. It's loose on the auxiliary shaft and tight in the block. Neither bearing must be sealed.
