Hi, I am looking for a front end loader for my 1957 Fordson major Diesel. I was wondering if there was anything to consider when buying one? Also would I be able to get a loader from another tractor to fit I.e a Nuffield 10/60 as I have seen one of these for sale?
Any help would be appreciated thanks

				Where is your Location?
I have a Horndraulik loader original mounted on my 1959 Major for sale in Germany.

You probably don't have power steering, you'd want to add it or add a _lot_ of weight off the 3pt hitch. I have a hoe on the back and loader on the front of my 55 and it steers like it's a feather, take the hoe off and run just the loader and it takes both hands pulling on one side of the wheel and 1/2 a mile to turn.

You will need to find the right frame to fit a Major. Arms & hydraulics tend to be similar for various tractors, but not the frames.
Have a google on 'fordson major loader' - they are out there, just a matter of looking
