Im on restoring a new performance with the engine breather on the front timing case. What is inside the canister as a filter, cos mine has what looks like a wire wool?

Its the same as mine ,its like wire wool ,Liam.

If it is plugged and dirty, flush it out with Mineral Spirits, or Lacquer Thinner. You will be surprised at the black dirt that comes out. Dandy Dave!

Still not sure this is the right stuff. Wire wool maybe wasnt the best way to describe it. Its very course like a bundle of swarf.

I think i knpw the stuff you mean though. Its denser than a brillow pad type material.
