Hi
I am trying to find where to buy some knock-in grease nipples for my major.
I am not sure what size, but it has been suggested they may be 5/16?
Anyone know of a supplier in the uk?

Mark,
You don't need a specialist supplier, you can get these almost anywhere.
1/4" and 5/16" are useful sizes to have.
You will get them from any tractor dealer, engineers suppliers, or 'back street' motor factors.
They should be 'over the counter' stock.
They may charge you up to 50 pence each.
If you can't get 1/4" then 6mm will do.
If you can't get 5/16" then 8mm will be fine.
The slight differences between the imperial and metric sizes do not matter in this case, because they are not threads but 'interfearance fits' (knock in).
Important Do not knock them in by tapping on the end. You risk damaging the nipple. Use a piece of tube, or a small socket, that will easily slip over the nipple end and tap in with that.
