Hi,
Having trouble finding the correct oil filter for the gas Dexta.
Different filter manufacturer searches do not return the same sized filters for the TE20 or Standard engine.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Les
Petrol Dexta oil filter?
My TE20 and Dotty use the same filter, the early TE 20's had a larger one.
Try M-F 35 petrol version.
I am getting a couple of new ones from Malcolm Hipperson in the next few days to replenish my stock and will post the numbers from the boxes.
I must admit I am lazy
I just go and ask him for a TE 20 oil filter and one appears on the counter.
Try M-F 35 petrol version.

Oil filter from Sparex S 40535 Replaces 1882916M1.
Also picked up a Sparex Radiator cap for Dotty S8452. Quality looks far better than ones from other suppliers I have seen.

Thanks Brian,
The Sparex # and 1882916M1 do not cross up to any filters of the major filter manufacturers over here but... by looking up Sparex's S 40535 filter on their site gave me some more application #s which do!
And..cart before the horse again.. as I should have mentioned that I am now the proud new owner of a '61 Petrol Dexta! (gasser, gas pot, gasoline version, sparker, sparky, a 4 banger at that!)
Sewing machine smooth!
Serial and date codes to follow along with a bunch more questions, I'm sure!
Thanx again,
Les
