Steering
All four bolts on my steering base are stripped out. Whenever I hit ruts or steer hard, the base moves. What should I try?

Does this require being drilled out? I can't recall if these holes go through. If so, what about shavings getting trans?Steven B wrote:You need a hellicoil thread repair kit.naildriver wrote:All four bolts on my steering base are stripped out. When tapping the hole, cover it in grease and wipe it regularly as this will trap and capture the swarf.
