Self critique and one question :)

Post by Winchester »

OK, my first ride on the dexta with the sole purpose of "plowing" snow is over, and this was not as easy as I thought
I got a pretty decent result, but I could have done way better, and I hope to do with some practise behind the wheel.

And for my question: Are there no steering stop on these tractors? A couple of times I overturned the wheels and had to put some force on the
steering wheel to straighten it back up. Almost as the wheels locked themself to right or left.

The steering stops are lugs on the bottom of the stub axles. It is possible they are worn and need building up as, on most Dexta tractors, they have had a hard life. They strike a raised area on the axle housing.
