Dexta fuel primer tap

Post by Nick »

Hi there. Just wondering where i can get the fuel tap and primer thing that goes under the fuel tank? The one on my dexta, has a catastrophic leak from where the fuel line goes in and up to the manifold, also the fuel tap bit is broken off, and the primer bit seems to be seized, so all in all not good!
Also what is the original set up on a standard diesel dexta?
Oh yay, look, another seized bolt! Lets get a hammer.....and some kano.....and some cider!

I will PM you my address if you would be so kind.

Many thanks, Mark

Well, not really, I just have one knackered one and was going to try and make one good one out of two or three knackered ones!

If I was to change this pump/fuel tap out one more time, I would have searched for a OEM one, if thats posible to find.
I have now gone trough 3 of these aftermarked pumps in two months and they all had one thing in common,
they leaked where the primer pump connects to the fuel tap part. In two days the worst one would leak down 2 gallons of diesel.

The last one I put in had the same leak, but it seems to have gotten better as some "dirt" have made it trough the system.
