Battery for 1960 Dexta
Is there a battery readily available which will allow the rear bonnet catch to engage? Type 643 is currently fitted, which is just too long/high.

This is a Numax battery, You could measure your Dexta battery space, then go to an outlet and get the best diesel one you can afford, think this one is a 75ah.
Fordson Dexta, Barn Door Technology at it's best.

The original spec. was for a 80 AH battery with dimensions of 12.5 inches long by 7 inches wide.
I have just bought a new battery for my Dexta, the Salesman checked the type in a catalogue and offered me a Numax 249H 12 volt battery which is rated at 95 AH and matches the above dimensions.
As I have converted the tractor to negative earth the poistive terminal is now adjacent to the solenoid.
