engine uneven running (think its called hunting)

Hi Have just found the webb site and wish to seek advise on the engine which has run smothly for some time but since I have been using it for work (topping) it has started to have an unevern surge ( I think its called hunting) can anyone advise of the reason and cure

Have you tried cleaning the governor air filter capsule, see

Else have you replaced the diaphram?
Else try a search on here and on the old website (see dexta stickies).

Many thank for the info have stripped down the govenor and cleaned the air filter etc it appears to have done the trick as I have just topped the feild with no problems

Glad it seemed to do the trick. What topper are you using, as I'm planning to get one?
