hole for exhaust

Changed the underframe exhaust with a vertical one so I will need to make a hole in the bonnet. Anybody got a clever trick that helps to decide where exactly to make it? Been fiddling with tape but that's not ideal.

Can't anybody quickly measure the space to the front of the bonnet and to the center hinge? Please? Pretty please?

hi , from the back to edge of hole is 7inches and from the batery
edge is 13 inches to edge of hole, the hole is 2 and half inches dia,
