hi guys,
Had ordered a tach cable from agriline for dexta/super dexta however it doesnt fit my petrol. Does anyone know a model that would be the same ?
tachometer cable
Re: tachometer cable
Everything I have used on mine is for a MF35 petrol. They use the same engine but with a different block casting (starter on the other side). Every thing has fitted so far but I don't know about the cable. Would be worth a look. I notice on my petrol the tacho needle rotates the opposite way to a diesel Dexta, so I wonder if they use a MF tacho as well?

Re: tachometer cable
Ok i figured it may be the same since they have the same engine. the one i ordered is not the same length and the fitting on the end of the cable is not the same. so thanks ill check it out.
Re: tachometer cable
The petrol Dexta rev counter cable is not a MF one, it is far shorter as the rev counter on the MF tractors is under the steering wheel. The cable also has different threads on the clock end to the MF. Been down that ropute myself a couple of months ago.
The only place I know that would be able to help is Speedograph-Richfield, I need one for mine and will be contacting them in a week or so.

Re: tachometer cable
Im having trouble indentifying the good oil filter for my petrol dexta on agriline. Does the MF 35 tractor have a deisel version too?
Re: tachometer cable
Yes, both the 35 and 135 came in petrol and diesel.
Have a look at this page http://www.bareco.com.au/files-filters-un21
That's who I get filters from. Just about every tractor dealer around here is a Bareco agent.
Interesting to see they list the same part number for the petrol models and some of the larger diesels, which may help narrow down the correct Agriline part number.
