How do you like the Multipower?
Oh, sorry, ..The Multipower is acting fantastic, but you have to learned how to best use it.blue32 wrote:Yes Ben, it is big different.Bensdexta wrote:Do you notice the extra hp of the MF35, 37hp vs 32?blue32 wrote:My MF 35x with multipower is from 1964.

According to my book, the longer gearstick with plastic top came in 1960 (957E62654-), of course maybe different for Norway.blue32 wrote:Thanks Ben... I have alvays seen this "small"gearstick as this cast top, (only at few newer Dexta,s and S.D. I.ve seeing it with two black balls on top of the gearstic,s). Maybe it is special for delivering to Norway wihout two black tops?? just like mostly of the dexta,s comes with footpedal for throtle too.
Yes Ben... give me some time, so I can seek it upBensdexta wrote:According to my book, the longer gearstick with plastic top came in 1960 (957E62654-), of course maybe different for Norway.blue32 wrote:Thanks Ben... Mikkel - What numbers/casting codes are your Dextas - can you post on Brian's Register sticky?
Does Multipower need more maintenance?blue32 wrote:My MF 35x with multipower is from 1964.

And it gives no engine braking?? So more wear on the brakes??
Mikkel, you can post the numbers directly on the sticky thread. Looks like you Blues are from early 61 and early 62. Have you the casting codes?blue32 wrote:To Brian registry: My two Dexta,s has this number: The Dexta in this tread who is restoring 957E 84439, and the other Dexta has number 09B 707569.
So maybe Multipower is not so good on steep hills like we have here in Wales?blue32 wrote:-My does not any spec. it runs like "hell"Bensdexta wrote:Does Multipower need more maintenance?

as says above it is some unusual to use, becouse it can not hold on gears down hill,s in Low. Has to stay in High. but you can seek moore info at MF forum I think.

In the bottom pic of your post above ^, what is the long rod that runs from the bottom of the LH brake mechanism up behind the hyd quadrant to the lift arm?
Hello Ben...it is a rod who can lift the litle "handbrakelever" when I,d pull the brake on with my foot... I,d just lift the litle lever to lock the brake in a tight position thenIt is an OG detail on this tractor, who I do not "need to bend over" and it work very well.
I'm also interested that it has the newer style nose cone with wider sides, but still has the pneumatic governed fuel pump.
Ah so your Dexta's don't have handbrakes on the LH side? That's surprising!"blue32 wrote:It is a rod who can lift the litle "handbrakelever" when I,d pull the brake on with my foot... - Oh...what do you mean Ben...? the nose is exact equal on all small Dextas, only the Superdexta is different but the pump like Super Dexta is starting at late Fordson Dexta Speciale,s from 1963, I think. As I know I do not think any nose is different. Mybee it look like that becouse I am using other color on the grille,s??
If I am going to fresh up this Dexta 09B...with new paint...I will definetly keep back to orange grill - badge,s and wheel,sl
It seems the secondary gearstick knob was again changed in 1962 from serial # 09B704134 on, to a threaded screw type black knob instead of the spring clip type.According to my book, the longer gearstick with plastic top came in 1960 (957E62654-), of course maybe diffent for Norway.

do all you're ( export ) dexta s have a foot thottle fitted , never noticed one before on a fordson? - Hi Tom, I am not sure of this about that the throtle footpedal is OG from Dagenham ??, but when the tractor,s was deliver,ed from the main importer in Norway... every Dexta has this type of footpedal. The main importer in norway was; Eik & Hausken by Stavanger. They even have all new tractor,s identify with a metalplate (booth sides the bonnet) with number stapled in... and I also think collecter,s in Norway want to ceep it on. - I am sad that this registry of each new Dexta did not give us the good info about who bought the tractor...becouse this is history for now. - ofcoarse it should be nice if I could ask some registry from the main import from 1958, witch was my fathers Dexta?? -mikkel.

- Hello Nick, I think it is becouse of some adjusting or mybee some "valve sitting" but it is almost impossible to tell exact how the problem is in the hydrauliksystem. Best is to take of hole system and look for the reason why it can not work propery, or mybee some in this forum have had same prob,s so they can tell alitle?Nick wrote:Thanks for answering that question, ive still got to have a fiddle with the hydraulics because last time i tried the linkage in position control, the linkage worked and stayed up etc, but it wouldnt work all the time and i had to push the quadrant right to the top to get it to move!! something tells me it shouldnt do that
