I can show a picture of the links at my Dexta, who was brake down at the start here, and I,d made a new link system of two pice of some old braketube,s and steelpin who fit insides the tubes. and whit a spring...it work good together with the handthrotle and footpedal then. Image

How does the throttle friction work with the foot throttle? With the normal hand throttle, friction keeps the throttle lever where the driver puts it.

But for a foot throttle if the driver lifts his foot, does the big spring close the throttle?? :scratchhead:

If you look at Mikkels picture there is a glider (pin inside a tube) at the handthrottle so you can move the fottpedal without tha handthrottel moving

Ah! So the hand throttle sets the 'lower' throttle position. Then pressing the foot pedal increases throttle from that lower position When the driver lifts his foot, throttle returns to the lower (hand throttle) position? That is clever!

Today it arriwed my second set of halftrack, and it was only alitle surface-rusty on it, this set is,nt run more than mybee 50 houres, and every parts was there, (so for now I also can put the first set on my "57 goldfish" in the future, I think), and with new tires and Ford grey color on, I think it will be ok. This is a pickup hitch produced to most Dextas after 1960 in Norway. Infact at least all up to mid 80s the Fords came to Norway without, and the dealers mounted on a norwegian as it was deliverred. My Dexta from around Jan 1960 has a different one. You can see some of it here

Thank you all for nice comment,s :D - (the swandri guy)-yes, I think you will also get your dexta even nicer if you want... Yes Ben it is a better simplier and good pickup hitch, as Magne Olav says too, I think better then the "threepoint pickup" hitch for the old fergies. It is also good and steady, but alot moore work to change over for differents euqipment,s.
-Så...Magne Olav, har du fått nok snø til roadless,n din??
