I need to make up a small platform on the front of my Dexta to carry a 15 gallon sprayer tank (total weight about 2cwt in old money!). Does anyone have any photos showing where the mounting points would be if a weight frame was fitted? Im also interested in any photos of Dextas with cabs. Ive done the usual google image search but not a lot comes up.

I guess the frame would have to attach to the front axle like my bullbars:

But that will put another 2cwts load on the front axle adding to the torque tending to bow the radius rods upwards. However, moment arm is much less than the same weight in the loader bucket, so should not be a problem
Some cab pics:

However, beware of coffin cabs!
All the best,

Ill try for some pictures over the weekend , it isnt great but keeps rain and cold out , ihad to make up brackets for the mudguards , these i made from 2inch box iorn in a v shape welded to plate on the bottom with bolt holes for axel , at the top 2bits of box iorn welded together and welded to v shape, on to this i made the mudguards from 2/3mm sheet and welded these to the brackets , the cab went on to these, i used angle iorn to bolt cab to mudguards for easy removal. At the front i took again a peice of box iorn with 3 holes in line with holes in battery compartment and passed it through , itook out the bolts in the battery comp and put longer bolts in and bolted box iorn onto tractor. i then bolted the box iorn to front of cab, again for easy removal .
