After 40 minutes of work the oil light comes on at 600 rpm idle. After an hour and half it comes on at 800rpm
Running 15/40 oil.
Just replaced the oil pressure sender with a Bareco unit which I think switches at 8 psi. oil light did not work when I got the tractor last year so I dont know if this is a new problem.

Oil pressure cold is 40psi at idle and at speed but I have not put the gauge on it after working.

Your thoughts please?

The pressure gets lower because the oil is thiner when its warm.

But it should be 40PSI also when its warm. Start with mesure the presure. if its low you can take of you sump and mesure the journalcleranse with som plastiage and chek upp the oilpump.
