Brake Pedal Removal.

Post by hiking bear »

Got to remove my pedals to replace the oil seal. On looking at the pedals all i can see is about 1/4 inch of pin sticking out which goes through the pedal and the shaft. Theres nothing on the other end. Is this a pin that justs drifts out or should it have had a nut on the end thats poss sheared off?

No nut, just the pin

Thanks.. Do you know if they usually drift out easily or are they prone to seizure?

No idea. I had to convince mine with a big hammer to move, so I guess it works fine. You can use some loctite if you want to be on the safe side.
