OK, I know now that I should have done things differently. I grinded down to bare metal, primed with a cheap spray can and 1 coat of blue over that [cheap spray can]. Local sandblaster, tractor painter said that within 1 year, rust will come through. ??? I've got to much time invested to let that happen. He susgested some type of primer or clear coat, that he says can be painted over what I have already done that will bond and prevent that later rust from coming through. Any sugestions?? Ever heard of a product that will work like this?

I've never heard of such a coating. I suggest it wouldn't be a very permanent fix. Best to strip to bare metal and do it properly whilst you've got the opportunity
