Where does the stop cable cut the diseal supply to the engine. Does anyone have any photos of where the stop cable cuts the fuel supply in their dexta?? Cheers

The stop cable does not stop the fuel supply as such. It moves the control rack in the pump so the pump no longer supplies fuel to the injectors.

Does anyone have a photo of how the stop cable is connected to the control rack on the pump??

I don't have a close up picture of mine but the lever is around behind the pump between the engine block and the pump. I think the picture above is of a later model tractor with a mechanical govenor. Mine has a pneumatic govenor.
If yours is an early tractor put your hand behind the pump you will find the lever and there will also be a bracket for the cable towards the rear. To be honest the cable is in a dog of a place to connect.

I have a Fordson Power Major tractor and need to replace stop cable. Available parts seem to come in 2.2 & 1.5 metres. I only require 1 metre length. Is it as simple as just cutting and reducing the lead to length required?
