Hello again, my second post, and I hope you don't think it's to soon

As I wrote in my last post, my hydraulic for the front loader seems to be some what slow. And it starts to drop to the ground right after I have it raised.
It wil drop half way down in about 10 minutes, but from there it takes about an hour to hit the ground.

I must raise the main control lever all the way back/up to make it respond, and the point where it should stay upraised seems to change as the oil heats up.

It also has a delay from when the front loader is in the ground, I pull the main control lever all the way back and it takes about 5-10 secound before it starts to raise

What could be the cause of this? And can the hydraulic be serviced to make it function like new again?

I also wonder if this could be a problem if the oil level is low?
I havent checked the oil level yet, but I suspect that its time for a change/top up.

It ain't pretty, but it will be next summer:

Check the oil level and also check that the Draft/Position selector is in Draft when using the loader.

Try pushing the Draft/Position control lever towards the rear, when in Draft and see if your loader rises faster.

Could be you will have to have the lift off to reset the linkage.

As far as I can figure out I have two choices with the Draft/Position lever. Straght down(vertical) or straight forward(Horisontal), should it also be able to be pushed up veritcal?

I tested this last night and I do think I remeber that the front loader didn't want to move when I had the draft lever pushed down(vertical).

No, just forward (Position) and down (Draft).

Confirmed it right now, the hydrualic to my front loader do not work when the lever is in draft.

Whats up with that?

Was again outside and played with the hydraulic, and when I manually force the lever furter back in draft, the hydraulic to the front loader works, but slow.

To get the loader hydraulics to work on ours, I have it in draft position, have the 3 point hitch arms down, start lifting them and then pull the auxillary knob out (while the arms are still moving up)to put the oil to the loader and then it works?

Something doesn't seem quite right but it works on ours (for now).

Internally, if the arms are right up, the piston operates a "knock off" pin that moves the control valve into neutral. The arms should be dropped about 2" before the aux valve is operated.

They can creep up and stop the loader.

If you use the loader in Position control and the arms drop, the lift will call for oil to return them to the position they had been set in. As you have diverted the oil away from the ram cylinder with the aux service valve, instead of going to the cylinder, the oil will go to the loader. Even if you put the control lever to fully lower the loader, it will still keep going up. Can be a bit embarrassing under a low roof

All this sounds great, but what would be my problem as I can't get it to work when set in draft without me manually holding it abut 1/2 inch furder towards the axle?

Standard Dexta problem. Worn Position control pin and linkage needs adjusting.

Sorry for the late response, I'm rebuilding my house and trying to get as much as possible done before the "white stuff" arrives

The Draft Control Swivel/spring ting also seems to be stuck, so I guess I will be orderings a rebuild kit next spring and get here to work like new again.

Would I hurt the hydraulic if I operate the front loder in "position" this winter?

No you will not hurt the tractor, just be careful that the link arms don't drop too far when in use.

could you tie the arms up with something to prevent them dropping when using the loader? just as a temp fix

Why should the arms drop when using the loader?
When I switch over to the hydraulic for the front loader the arms stay where I last set them.
