insurance

im looking to insure my dexta, but im unsure what type of insuarance to ask for. i want to be able to use my tractor in the fields. phoned the NFU earlyer and they suggested thier vintage tractor insurance was not sutable.... any help with suggested insurers is great, many thanks.

You could try any of the firms that advertise in the tractor magazines. I insured my Dexta with one, Cost me £43, WM.

The NFU normal tractor insurance is the way to go if you are using the tractor for farm work or other.

thanks for your replies. i know its hard to suggest anything without "advertising" but a standard farm tractor insurance is the way to go then.

Well if the NFU say their Vintage tractor insurance is not suitable, they must have had a reason to say that. And as Brian says , the NFU normal tractor insurance is the way to go.
I suppose it's down to what you require, I insured all the Agric tractors i used with NFU, the last one i used on the farm was a JD 2650, and the premium was £246 per anum.
It's what suits you best, get quotes. Jim
