How do I get this apart?
It looks like part 50, Spring, Valve Locking, is the key, but how?

Look down the pipe end, there is a spring clip to take out. Some types then screw apart with a screwdriver down the tube.

Not on the ones I have done, these were either Dowty or Exactor. They did become a "throw away" item in later years.
