Locking Fuel Cap

Post by Jerry Coles »

Hi everbody
I was wondering if anyone has found/made etc a suitable locking fuel cap.
I am having to leave my dexta outside on the drive for a few months and would like to added security of a locking fuel cap given the price of Diesel these days.

Regards

might be better off without, i have heard of people punching holes through tanks to get fuel. least your tank would survive if it has no lock, but then again it would put off most.

Interesting one, my tank currently appears to have 15 year old red diesel in it (to be drained shortly)

Given how long the die hangs around, I can see anybody who decides to help them selves to fuel from my tank might leave themselves with a long term headache!

my tank does not seem to have been stained by red diesel, I drained the tank and rinsed with clean (white) Diesel. I have been told the die will not stain steel only any sealing compound used in the tank.

John
