super dexta pistons rings

I have a question for you guys? Will super dexta rings work in a dexta engine?

Not that I'm recommending it but... could file .314" off the end of each ring and it should squeeze in!
Maybe even less as I bought new SD rings from CNH and they have a end gap of .020" in the 3.6" bore ( a bit more than the .012" I was hopoing for!
Has it been done out your way?
