Hi i am a new member. I have a 1962 Super Dexta with a FEL. I would like to replace the trip with a hyd crowd on the FEL also fit a double acting auxillary control bank. Currently the front end loader is controlled by the quadrant lever with a standard aux top plate.
How can i get a constant/live hyd. feed, to supply the new valve bank?

The easy way is with a double valve block. 1 spool to work the loader and 1 to work the bucket. Take the flow from the aux service and put a return from the spool block into the filler on the rear axle.
Place the quadrant lever beyond the top stop and away you go.
This was the way most loader manufacturers set up double acting rams on loaders for these tractors, if they did not use a PTO pump and separate tank.

Thanks for the reply! So if the quadrant lever is placed beyond the top stop this will supply a constant feed from the aux plate. would there be any advantage of tapping into the pump supply line and use a high pressure carry over valve in the valve bank. this way it would get a direct feed form the pump. while not affecting the rest of the hyd.

To get the pump to deliver pressure and flow from the port on its side you would need to block the porting to the aux. service valve as this is the first valve in the system. Otherwise, with the circuit in neutral, oil will take the easiest route and dump back to tank. You would need to pull out the selector and "dead head" the oil from the aux. service port.
You ask about constant flow, you will not get an un-interupted flow from a none live drive tractor as the pump drives from the PTO drive gears. With a "Live" tractor, you can use the clutch linkage to get constant hydraulics. Another point, the lift arms should be held roughly 1/2" from the top of their travel. This stops the internal "knock off" pin from putting the system in neutral.

I pulled the top plate and pump off my tractor today.
With the pump removed i blocked the outlet port in the pump housing with a 1/4" bspt plug, the port size was perfect to tap a 1/4" bspt thread, this still seals with the o-ring against the diff housing as the plug is below the surface. I also drilled the 9/16 UNF test port on the side of the pump out to 3/8" bspp to allow the size of this port to be the same as the original outlet. i fitted a 3/8 bspp to 3/4 JIC nipple to supply high pressure oil to my new valve bank. I also drilled and and tapped another 3/8bspp to 3/4 JIC nipple in to the side of the diff housing, directly into the existing oil supply port from the pump. This is the new oil supply to the rear hyd. circuit, which is feed from the high pressure oil returned from the new valve bank fitted with a "high pressure carry over valve" . So the system or circuit still works as originally designed until one of the levers on the new valve bank is activated which diverts oil directly from the pump to the FEL or any other attachments fitted. When the lever is returned oil bypass' though the new valve bank back on its existing path. One big advantage of this is that it doesnt rely on existing hydraulics to get a aux supply, it's directly feed from the pump, doesnt require having to change over aux. plate diverter valve when using front or rear hyd's and is a relativly cheap exercise to do.

Sounds like a good system. Many years ago on a TE20 I blocked off the oil way to the 3 pt linkage and diverted it through a spool block to give precise height control of the lift arms and also a separate auxillary supply for the trailer and loader when fitted. I know it defeated the draft control but I didn't need that anyway. Your system seems to me to answer a lot of problems when having a loader fitted to the tractor.
