On my dexta, the original tachometer hour meter still works (4456 hours). The needle however seems to have come addrift inside, can you take the front cover off without breaking anything? I dont really want to buy a new one because it ruins the tractors originality!
Oh yay, look, another seized bolt! Lets get a hammer.....and some kano.....and some cider!

You can take them to bits, but think you may need a tool to press the chrome ring back on:

I sent mine to Speedograph Richfield Nottingham for a refurb, cost £90 - not cheap, but you do get a free rubber gasket!
