I love seeing tractors with dual wheels on, but don't think I've ever seen a Dexta with duals. Got any more photos of it, out of the mud. Maybe you need triples?

Hi there
I did'nt bother taking any more photos of it when not stuck in the mud, it's not one of the better examples so I didnt think it was worth taking that many pics of!
Where i live it is quite comon to see them with the dual wheels on.
Whoa!
Great photos and nice to see that I'm not the only one to get bogged down!
But... not quite that stuck......atleast with a Dexta!!
How did you get it out?
Like your duals!
How are they attached?
Rim spacers? Or axle spacers?

Hi mate
I dont actually know who the tractor belongs to I just saw it in the passing one day
But it is usually rim spacers we use.
Lord that takes me back. I spent many a happy day as a child with my Dad and our Dexta with duals on it. Always someone getting bogged. It used to be very common to cut turf in Northern Ireland and I always remember tractors getting bogged, heavy Browns or Majors, and the wee Dexta or TE20's having to pull them out. But I never saw one that bogged! lol
The best wee tractors for 'Dregging' the turf to the 'hard road' was the Dexta or Fergie TE20 with the duals on them. Our Dexta used to pull a silage trailer filled with turf 15 miles home from the bog! You should have heard the governors..........
Anyway I've a set of rim spacers for duals if anyones interested........... Cutting turf is a thing of the past now and our dexta is getting her final coat of new paint this week! (weather permitting)
hi hope you got her out ok but when they bog down like that on the bog
the rest of the day is spent working to get it out especaily if no other tractor is around for a pullng a
i carry a tifor winch a home made pull pal in my dexta for such times, it has got me out a number
of times , i still cut with a slane or turf spade although most around here use the 3ton track machine
for cutting, Gerry
That picture with the L plate is now my desktop picture! Thank you. I havent seen hand cut turf in around 20 years. All machine cut now i'm afraid. It's seldom aswell that i've ever seen turf built loose on a trailer. We used to bag ours with the old fertilizer bags (a thing of the past now too).
I really enjoyed this pictures, took me back. Glad to see people still cutting, although if oil prices continue I may cut next year aswell, and get the dexta out!
