On my super dexta I have removed the upper plate and the lift cover, cleaned all the ram parts, cleaned the sump, cleaned the pump, replaced the o rings refilled the sump and still no pressure. However, I was not able to dismantle the upper plate, with the exception to the center flow control valve. Should I purchase a blank upper plate and give it a shot? What do you experts think?

Hi, as I can see noone will answer your probs...but as far I can see, you have to take apart all valves, and look for wear in the o rings, clean up small holes too, and second take a good look on your filter besides the oilpump, (after many year this filter can stop workin..becouse of dirt coming from waterwast and bad oil from the sump..) if this do,nt work out, mybee the hydraulik system need adjusted, and mybe the oilpump also is failure. - It is hundred small thing,s who can go wrong in this system, so to all Dextapeople in here it,s best to change new oil at old dexta,s several times for to clean it up good. (goes about twenty litre of new HD 20/40 mineral oil)

may be my bumb logic but.... i'd check

is the aux button pushed IN , not pulled out to put oil to the tipper pipe ?

if u suspect the top plate i " think " if u crank the engine with the plate fully removed the oil should gush everywere .... would prove that the pump worked .?

the valve on the oil return filter can get stuck open , the system needs back pressure .

be shure that it is full of oil , level plug next to pto lever , brass square headed plug.

I have the top cover of the hydraulics off again and was wondering if there is any way to test the operation of the top cover while it is off. Any ideas? I have been using compressed air into the oil in hole while plugging the oil out hole with no success for lift. I do not think I have enough pressure to get past the check ball. Any ideas at all?

Well I put the top cover to the hydraulics back on and still no lift. I was wondering. When I had the cover off I started up the tractor and watched the flow of oil from the pump upward about two inches out of the case. Does that seem normal?

From past and very messy experiences, that doesnt sound like there is enough oil coming from the pump to me. I did the same thing with mine, but i didnt let it run (i held the stop on the fuel pump out whilst cranking) and it still went everywhere.
Im thinking from what your saying that your pump maybe faulty. Did u check and clean the filter?

I cleaned out each part and the sump prior to putting it back together. So you think I should have more flow?

Just a thought- did you open and release/clean the checkvalve?
One Dexta I have is stored 10 mnds a year. When starting up every spring there is no lift and sometimes I have to open up and release it to make the hyd work. sometimes it is enough to put it in raising position and rev it up to maximum

You sound as if you have plenty of oil flow. Try an Aux. Service Chest then make sure the unload valve is free and the control valve is giving you full travel and the adjustments are correct. See the Hydraulic section on the Wiki.
