pto keeps jumping out of gear when in use, could someone please explain what I have to do to rectify.

It seems to me that you could check the l.h. pto/gearstick back on clutchpedal, and the links insides Transmission/house (pict)

One of the main causes of PTO jumping out is the PTO shaft moving in and out due to a broken circlip or groove on the rear bearing. This is cause by implements with either too long a PTO shaft or one that does not slide freely. Check out the shaft end float.
Remove the PTO selector housing the state of the sliding gear that the selector moves, this may be worn, if so you will need to replace it by splitting the transmission at the rear, not a bad job.
The other possibility is the lever itself and the internal quadrant which could be worn, you will see this when you remove the lever housing, it is all part of the unit.
