Fuel pipes and olives

Post by Bensdexta »

Just fitting my fuel pipes

But...

Had a replacement governor pipe from the manifold to the fuel pump made. This is the manifold end. Can someone confirm that this is the wrong olive?

Should it be barrel shaped like the one shown here http://www.fordtractorspares.co.uk/inde ... t&Itemid=1

Can someone also confirm that the pipe is nominal 3/16" ID and 1/4" OD?

TIA

Hi Ben

Mine has a standard olive but, I cant see why the one you have would not work.

No idea on pipe size sadly as mine is fitted (might be able to measure the outside diameter)

By 'standard' olive you mean barrel shaped? The one I have fitted doesn't seem to clamp up properly, the pipe is still able to wiggle slightly when the union is tight.

Yes, barrel shaped.

Did you get the pipe made or is it from the normal suppliers?
