mud guard lights

im woundering if there should be lights on the mudguards for my 1958 dexta.

Yes of course
Take a look at Mikkel's Dexta:
The plough light is not standard, but the other lights on the mudguards are.

Dextas,
check your regulations on the position of the lights.
eg in Belgium, regulation sais that no white driving lights (not working lights) may appear behind the rear axle !
That's why I had to put the lights right on top of the axle (so read was behind and white before)....

I think in UK we have a 'get-out', something like..... 'original features are accepted'.
That will be my story anyway!
