Solenoid Wire

Post by hiking bear »

Could someone have a look at there Dexta and please tell me; The Yellow wire from the loom that goes onto the solenoid,(original type 2 large posts and 1 small), does it go onto the live side from the battery or the other side that goes to the starter?
1961 Dexta, 1957 FE35 and 1966 Eicher ES101 (of which im always looking for spares).

The Yellow wire goes onto the live side BATT of the solonoid, not the starter side. It provides the BATT feed to the lower dash panel.

There's a Dexta wiring diagram at the end of the electrical section of the workshop manual.
