Sorry...another dumb question...
Were worklights (Ploughing light?) and toolboxes fitted as standard on Dextas? The original wings off mine certainly had a tool box fitted as the rusty remains of the back of one were still attached, although with modern fixings. There doesnt seem to be any holes where a worklight would have been fitted to the top of the wing.
I'm trying to restore mine as close as possible to how it would be originally, and using original parts wherever possible.
There seems to be a variety of used toolboxes around, all with 'Fordson' on the lid. Was there a particular type used on the dextas - mine is 1960 ish.

Re: Toolbox and Worklight
Hi. Theres never a dumb question on here! I don't believe they were fitted as standard. I know the plough light definately was not, but on the original wing on my 1959 Dexta there was no toolbox, or indeed holes for it.
The toolbox's sold with the Fordson stamped on the lid are not for a Dexta, these are for older type Fordsons such as the old Majors. The dexta toolbox has a bracket on it for a trailer socket.
hope this helps, good luck with yours
