front cowl protector

i am in the process of building a nose cone protector , would anyone know before i start to weld it up
will useing holes to both sides of front axel affect the movment of the front axel in any way ,
this will mean they are joined together , sky blue

There is no problem attaching the nose guard to the front axle. Here's a pic of mine (before I started renovation!).

It is attached to each side of the axle by the inner axle bolt, ie a total of just two bolts - simple as that!

The front axle moves as a rigid beam, so provided you attach the guard to
nothing other than the axle, it will simply move with the axle. Just make sure that when the axle is moved each way to its full deflection, that your protector doesn't touch the nose cone.

Thats great bensdexta just what i was after, it,ll let me get on with it , im hoping to put asmall box of some sort
on to it,to be able to carry , spanners , tow rope ect , i will get a picture up when finnished , but only if it
turnes out alright
