Hi all, new to the forum but had the Dexta a couple of years, can anyone tell me
how to remove the left hand lift arm? Right hand, no problem but I'm not an engineer
and the left one just about has me beat.
Thanks in advance

First of all welcome to the forum.
Would it be possible to outline exactly what the problem is, and/or post a couple of pictures?
Regards, Jamie.

Thanks for the welcome, the problem is the stud that the arm fits on, the right side
is fixed, solid, with a nut on the end, spanner job, no problem, the left side stud spins round
and if it is a nut on the end it doesnt look like one, so before I go steaming in with the
mole grips and lump hammer I thought id ask the experts.
Apologies for the dodgy pictures.

Hi,
The inside end of the side stud is also held on by a nut behind the casting. This nut is probably loose which is why the whole thing is turning.
My guess is that the threads on the inside end of side stud will be damaged now and so the inside nut will not tighten anymore.
If you have access to heat (oxy-acet); heat up the outside nut and then quench fully with water and you will find that it will undo a lot easier whilst gripping the inside nut.
Best regards, Jamie.

Hi Jag336
Go to the Agriline website - Dexta and down the bottom of the list is item 4115 which is what is turning.
http://www.agrilineproducts.com/partsca ... dexta.html.

Thanks, Jerry, the fogs beginning to clear a little.
Is it a major job to access these?
