Hi.

I have fitted one of the aftermarket exhausts for a Dexta to my tractor, and firstly, I have a problem that it leaks exhaust gases from between the manifold and the outside of the exhaust, and secondly it doesn't really function as a silencer, and is really quite noisy!

Has anyone else had this issue?

No, as a matter of fact I had the opposite problem with my Dexta. The muffler sounded like it blowing through a hose so I took a long bar and punched a hole down through the center of the baffle end piece to get rid of the hissing sound. Tractor sounds much happier without the back pressure and is still very quiet.
Sounds like you might be in need of a different muffler as the baffle might be missing out of yours.
