Tacho original?
Is this an original tacho not 100% sure since my friends is different to mine

No reason to suppose it's not original. I'm fairly sure that both AC & Smiths tachos were fitted to Dextas, but I can't say which were fitted when. Maybe worth a search on here. My Nov '61 Dexta has a Smiths.Vulgunx wrote:Is this an original tacho not 100% sure since my friends is different to mine

Have 2 exactly the same on the '62 Super Dextas.
Would be interesting to know which tachs were used where and when.
What year and model is your Dexta?

Hi All,
The tacho on my 1958 Dexta is an AC tacho, very similar to the one in the photo except the info is displayed on the bottom half of the face.
Note the pto speed is 1600 rpm as opposed the one in the photo which is 1800 rpm, pulley speeds are the same at 2000rpm
