Return oil filter element parte68-gf-9

Post by Mervyn Spencer »

Please, does anyone know of a dexta parts supplier in Surrey region, I am told that Surrey is a very large area. I have friends coming to South Africa leaving next week and was hoping that they could bring the return filter element with them. These people live in the suburb of Hookwood. Would be very greatful for any assistance.

Hi Gerald, I have come up with zero success, our CNH dealer says that filter is not available after trying several importers. I did send an email to a UK dealer "Smallholders Services" and was told that that part is no longer available. He told me that they use a MF hydraulic filter but have to drill a hole in the bottom of the filter for the pipe. However there is a raised centre section on the top which to me don't seem right as I feel you will not get a secure fit.

Gerald if possible, can you please give me the CNH number for the hyd. filters used in the Ford 2610 - I noticed the same filter is also used in the 3600 right up to the 5000.

Your friends from A L P do show a hyd.filter but the measurements are slightly bigger than the physical measurements of my filter canister/capsule that the element fits into.

Please if there are any other members who have had to replace their hyd. filter, I would like to know how you went about a replacement. :curse:

Mervyn,
New Holland lists them here in the U.S. Plus I found them on Amazon.com and here:
http://www.partspring.com
New Holland 81800792 FILTER, ELEMENT
Number One Online Supplier of New Holland Tractor and Equipment Parts ... Part Number, 81800792. Weight, 0.17
$13.00 U.S.
International shipping might be a little pricey but if you are in a jam at least you know where you can get one

Hi Bill, thanks for the links, I have looked them up and yes that does look like what I am looking for. I have also been in touch with ALP in the UK and they assure me that the filter they sell for the dexta will fit. Taking shipping into account it works out cheaper to buy from the UK because of the closer distance, my logic?? Anyway thanks again for you help, very much appreciated.

Kind regards
Mervyn
