Hi all
trying to replace temperature gauge on a Dexta.
It seems I just cannot drop the capillary bulb and bush down through the hole in the tank!
Do I have to remove the tank mounting bolts to allow space for the bulb and bush to drop down beside the steering column?
Cheers to all
Jerry

Re: Temperature gauge capilliary wire route
Unfortunately yes
If I remember correctly, I had to pull my steering wheel and remove tank to feed the end thru the hole.

Re: Temperature gauge capilliary wire route
i was always able with a my dextas to feed the cable down the hole carefully
at the bottom was a bit tricky as the nut sticks but with a bit of wriggling it does go through, i
diddnt need to lift tank up but it may make it easyer,
good luck sky blue
