Different between 5,50x16 and 6,00x16 tires

I can buy new front wheels with 6,00x16 tires.

But i have read that the dexta has standard 5,50x16 tires.
Is the different only the width of the tire?
Or is the height also different?

I wan't to have the dexta as low as possible.

Thats the same question I have been pondering.... In my case I have the 6.00 tires up front now but are pretty worn out. The 5.50 tires seem to be quite a bit cheeper over here and can save about 50 bucks total if I go with that size. They seem to be narrower in width I would love to see someone post up pics of there Dexta with the 5.50 ties installed....

As I recall the first number does indicate the width of the tire.

The difference between 5.5 and 6 is 0.5

This is indeed the width of the tyre in inches.

The 16 is the diameter of the centre of the tyre.

I believe the sidewalls are all of very similar height..
