Temperature sensor cable routing

How the heck do I get that cable through the tube in the fuel tank? The cable itself might just fit, but the nut most certainly does not. Do I need to remove the steering column? Or dislodge the fuel tank?

You may need to loosen the fuel tank to get enough space for the temp probe. So that may also mean undoing the throttle lever, unless you can fiddle it. No need to loosen the steering box though.
It's a PITA, not Dex's greatest feature!

You may find that your new temp cable is 'too long', so the excess will need to be coiled under the fuel tank. I'm told the extra length is so you can split the tractor without undoing the temp probe, although I've never tried this.

Urghhhh, that's indeed not very service friendly, lol. I'll unscrew the fuel tank this evening and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice.
