Re: Buying a dexta
Have a search on here, eg
http://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/phpbb ... ?f=3&t=487
To which I would add a warning to look out for ASPs (All Spare Parts) tractors, eg engines that have been swapped, wrong type of fuel pump etc, so always check engine and tractor nos and casting codes.
I second the comment about getting a good one, rather than doing up a wreck, as I know to my cost. £2k should get you a good one.
Unless of course you have plenty of time and money to save one from the grave.
Take your time, have a look at a few to get a feel for the market, there's plenty out there and prices haven't gone up much in the past few years.
Good luck with your purchase and post pics when you do.

As stated above, take your time. Shopping is half the fun.
Ending up with a bad tractor can take all the fun out of it in a hurry.
Good luck with your search.
