Dexta Crane

Hi all
Purchased this crane off Ebay.
It's a modified Garage engine crane where the pedestal has been modified t bolt onto the swinging drawbar bracket. This keeps the base close to the Diff and with a top link to the top link on the diff makes for a rigid mounting. The hydraulics is a single acting Ram and the boom can extend.
Photo's here http://s1106.photobucket.com/user/oldtr ... t=3&page=1.
Very useful where a lift is required as when I wanted to move my other Dexta which had no steering at the time.
Regards
Jerry

Yes, very elegant.

The bottom just sits there, can't drop off the drawbar because the top link won't let it twist sideways?

The base of the crane has two large tabs which bolt into the box of the swinging drawbar - see pic 3444.
As it's close to the axle line it can lift quite a bit before the front lifts.
Cheers
Jerry
